As John F. Kennedy said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”

How do you demonstrate gratitude? Gratitude is more than a “thank you” note or nice words at a family gathering once a year. It is a sincere feeling of thankfulness and joy for the good that is present. It is a “chosen attitude” that can actually improve your emotional and physical health. It can be an active practice that can decrease stress and improve life satisfaction. So, live it gratitude. Walk the talk. View life as a gift, tuning your consciousness to see the positive in every situation. Smile and laugh often at simple things. Make a point to treat people with kindness and compassion, offering forgiveness freely–especially to that person who may push your buttons. Remain in gratitude even in tough times, opening your heart to experience peace. Make thankfulness a daily habit and you will attract greater good and enrich the lives of others.
