As Grand Jedi Master Yoda said, “You must unlearn what you have learned.”

What do you really know? In the movie Star Wars, Yoda is teaching Luke Skywalker about the Force–an energy field that connects all things in the galaxy. Luke is seeking to lift a spacecraft out of the water with this power. He feels defeated and says, “We’ll never get it out now!” Yoda challenges this “certainty.” Luke then lifts the craft a little but when doubt creeps in it falls. He says, “I can’t. It’s too big… You want the impossible.” When Yoda effortlessly raises the spacecraft, Luke exclaims, “I don’t believe it!” Yoda responds, “That is why you fail.” We each have the ability to tap into a power that is greater than us but often conventional knowledge blocks our receptivity. We fail because we know too much, our vision of what is possible is restricted and our belief is weak. So, unlearn what you have learned. Challenge what you think is true. It may be a perceived limitation that needs to be released. Be receptive to intuitive insight and unlimited potentiality. You are the instrument through which life flows so keep the channels open and unclogged. Even though you may not see the way, have faith that the answer will appear. As Yoda instructs in the movie, you have a “powerful ally” that surrounds you. Believe deeply and the Force will be with you.

Until next time, remember-it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!
