As Eldridge Cleaver said, “There is no more neutrality in the world. You either have to be part of the solution, or you’re going to be part of the problem.”

What problem are you seeking to solve right now? Some people love to identify what is wrong in their lives, others lives, at work, in their community and in the world at large. They are quick to complain but slow to act putting up roadblocks of stagnant energy. Instead of being a problem spotter, be a problem solver. If you see how you can make a direct impact, then do something. From advocating for safer streets in your neighborhood to leading a gender equity initiative at your job, be proactive. If it is a grand global challenge requiring collaboration, seek like-minded thinkers and learn how you can help. If you have the privilege of being on this earth then you have the responsibility to not only consume but contribute. It doesn’t mean you have to tackle every situation and be involved in every issue. Instead, do what you can where you are and systematically grow into a larger role. Don’t wait for someone else to step up. Decide to be a change agent today versus a passive spectator who talks about making a difference tomorrow.

Until next time, remember-it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,

Terri
