On Saturday, September 4th, 2015, I had the delight of spending the day at Wainwright House in Rye, NY with my dear teacher Tao Porchon-Lynch and my mom, Janie Sykes-Kennedy. Wainwright House is the oldest holistic center in the United States and the home of the work of personal development pioneer Norman Vincent Peale. We filmed a discussion on Tao’s autobiography, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through The Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, which will be released on Thursday, September 17th 2015. We are all co-authors on the book.
It was wonderful talking to Tao in the midst of such a beautiful, natural setting. The footage will be used for Tao’s documentary and a digital course of Tao’s philosophy. Thank you to Peggy Hill, Linda Parker, Holly Galgano, Linda Mackay and Javier Lopez at Wainwright House and Eun-ah Lee for filming. After the work was done, we ate at Whitby Castle outside overlooking the golf course. It was a perfect day!
If you live in the White Plains/Hartsdale, NY area and want to join us for the “Friends & Family” book celebration on Sunday, September 13th from 12pm-2pm at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios, email tao@power-living.com. Those who preordered Dancing Light will be able to pick up their books and congratulate Tao. Find out more about the book, including the infographic. Also, check out Tao’s upcoming schedule, including Tao’s talk at the Harvard Business School Club of New York.
