As the poet Rumi wrote: I asked, “Why have I received only this?” A voice replied, ‘Only this’ will lead you to That.”

What is in front of you? Life is like a walk in the forest. Sometimes it seems peaceful and other times it is a heart-racing adventure. Sometimes the path is clear and other times you have to mind your footing. Either way, it’s important to take in the journey. Look with eyes wide open. Where you are may be where you need to be, at least for the moment. It’s like going on smaller hikes to boost your stamina and prepare you to climb higher. Perhaps there are lessons for you to learn or spiritual “muscles” for you to build. If you’re doing work that is not totally fulfilling, maybe you’re gaining skills that will help you craft your dream job. If you’re in a dry or tough season in your love life, perhaps you’re being prepared for a deeper soul connection. Don’t fret. Pay attention to the signs around you. You have everything you need right now to move forward. Look closely and you will see your next step.
