Gandhi (1982)

FILM:
Gandhi (1982) – I very much enjoyed Sir Richard Attenborough’s 1982 multiple-Oscar winning film on Gandhi which starred Ben Kingsley, Candice Bergen, Martin Sheen, Edward Fox, Trever Howard and John Gielgud.

Even though the film is long (three hours), Ben Kingsley – who won an Oscar for Best Actor – is brilliant in it. He takes us on an historical journey of Mohandas K, Gandhi’s life and his eventual work in nonviolent resistance.

If you want to know more about this important international leader, I highly recommend this film as a way to wet your appetite. You will be engaged and learn something at the same time!
